I use Skype all the time to talk to my son who is in college. I’d love to have that capability in a mobile phone. I can imagine that having a Skypephone would work great for parents whose students are studying abroad. Sure would cut the costs of overseas charges.

It is remarkable that the U.S. still lags in fully maximizing the benefits of SMS connectivity and wi-fi access. To keep pace with communication technology is crucial to remaining competitive in the global marketplace. Let’s hope that decision-makers are smart enough to recognize that user-friendly, cost-efficient tools like 3’s Skypephone have already hit the ground running.
